Salah Issues Regret to Liverpool Dressing Room, Reveals Curtis Jones
Jones has disclosed that Salah said sorry to the entire Liverpool squad following the controversy from his recent interview.
The Incident
The striker was dropped from a key Champions League match after making accusations and claiming his relationship with manager had broken down.
“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
The head coach has chosen not to reveal on whether he received a personal apology from the 33-year-old forward.

He emphasized that the team's response was unchanged. “Nothing about him changed, he had a big smile on his face and it was business as usual,” he continued.
Jones also suggested that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. “I understand there are certain ways you can handle situations,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

The team's performance have stayed unbeaten in the games following the situation. Jones believes the Salah's words were never meant to harm the team.
“If passion has boiled over, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, playing well and on a positive run.”
