Passionate followers of Ariana Grande are urging that a individual who leaped a barrier and seized the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating video reveals the individual from Australia pushing past media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the actors walked down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being taken in", though official papers indicated that he was set to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram profile contains videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney show in recently and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last winter.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Voice Worry Over Ariana's Well-being

Several fans criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote another response on Instagram.

A number of supporters also criticised event staff at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while some requested digital services to remove Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.
